Save-A-Seed is a community involvement organization that provides opportunities for local youth to gain new experiences and open their minds to endless possibilities for their futures. When you save a seed, you plant it, care for it and watch it grow into a mature plant that bears its own seeds. This is similarly true of our youth. Through free/low-cost experiences, we are able to plant the seeds of knowledge and watch each child grow and develop into a confident leader and a productive member of society.

By volunteering with Save-A-Seed at the Richmond Flying Squirrels baseball games, you'll not only get to experience the thrill of the game up close but also play a vital role in supporting our mission to strengthen and bring exciting events and programs to our community and it's members.

Save-A-Seed has several community gardens in the Sussex area. We are happy to have the local community to come out to garden workdays to learn the necessary skills, bond with neighbors and to share in the growth of and harvest of what we have worked so diligently to build together!
